August 2026 Newsletter

We hope that you have been enjoying your Teslas throughout the summer, perhaps on some road trips suggested in July's newsletter. As the Summer draws to a close and much needed rain arrives, our spirits are not dampened at TOUK as we offer some exciting news on upcoming plans for Autumn.

For the weekend of the 11 & 12 September, we will be attending the third and final Everything Electric of the year and see the free ticket details below if you wish to visit the show at the new Twickenham/Greater London venue.

Some of you will remember our first ever Christmas Light Show at Silverstone Lap of Lights last year and we are planning an even bigger light show this year with Simon and Xlightshows as part of his international Christmas event. See below for more details.

Last month we attended the British Motor Show with first ever club stand and we report below on our display.

We continue to push Tesla on their plans for FSD Supervised (FSDS) in the UK and I met with Tesla UK over the summer to raise a number of issues and suggestions from TOUK and our members. There will be a liaison report issued soon , but in the meantime it is interesting to note that Tesla Europe has ramped up social media on FSDS this week, and also a large part of their stand at the British Motor Show also featured FSDS.

HAVE YOU RECENTLY PURCHASED A BRAND NEW TESLA?

We are pleased to announce that the next survey is out for new owners to take part. TOUK has been partnering with Kantar Spain during 2026 for some exclusive Tesla research. They have worked with our counterparts Tesla Owners Spain for a while and they come highly recommended and will provide our members with a great new benefit!

If you have recently taken delivery of a new Tesla between May and August 2026 we invite you to take part in this round (it does't matter if this is your first or additional Tesla purchase). Only members that register to take part in the survey and meet the new ownership requirements will have their details passed onto Kantar who will then undertake the final screening and the online survey. It will be on a first come first served basis to take part so do respond promptly to the invitation when you receive it!

As a thank you for taking part, our members will receive a £70 Amazon voucher or a £75 club shop voucher.

CHRISTMAS LIGHT SHOW

SAVE THE DATE! FRIDAY 11TH DECEMBER 2026

We have once again partnered XLightshows and Simon Pollock for a Christmas light show Extravaganza. Ticket details will be released shortly once we confirm our venue details, but please do SAVE THE DATE FRIDAY 11 DECEMBER as this promises to be bigger and better than our first attendance last year. To see what we did last year, check out the video!

The event will take place in the afternoon and early evening of Friday 11 December and is children friendly too so it will be a fantastic event to kick off the Christmas season.

BRITISH MOTOR SHOW 2026 REPORT

We had our very first club stand at the British Motor Show in Farnborough last month and we were delighted to have several members join us on the Friday through to Sunday to display their cars and talk to the public. If you are one of our new members who joined up at the show, a very warm welcome to your first newsletter!

We found the event was particular good to not only promote TOUK and camaraderie around Tesla ownership, but to undertake our mission to "educate to promote the uptake and adoption of electric vehicles".

The committee will be reviewing all our event attendances at a future meeting to help shape our event programme for 2027 and if you have any feedback from the shows we attended this year (or indeed shows we didn't attend) please do contact us with any feedback for us to consider: members@teslaowners.org.uk

A big thank you to Tesla UK who kindly loaned us the 2011 Tesla Roadster which was very popular with our visitors - some of whom had never seen one before, or indeed never knew that this was the first Tesla ever, and it started off the electric revolution.
