1. About Us
Tesla Owners UK Limited ("we", "us", "our" or the "Club") is a company limited by guarantee, registered in England and Wales under company number 12049084, with its registered office at Oaklands, St Clere Hill Road, Sevenoaks, Kent TN15 6AH.
The Club is an independent owners' group operated by and for UK-based Tesla vehicle owners. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or in any way officially connected to Tesla, Inc. or Tesla Motors Limited ("Tesla"). The content on this website is not administered, controlled, or created by Tesla. All content has been created by confirmed UK owners of Tesla vehicles or by Club administrators.
These terms and conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the website at teslaowners.uk (and any predecessor domain including teslaowners.org.uk) (the "Website"), including any forums, social media groups, online shop, and membership services operated by the Club.
By accessing or using the Website, you confirm that you accept these Terms and agree to comply with them. If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use the Website.
2. Changes to These Terms
We may revise these Terms from time to time. The revised Terms will apply from the date of publication on the Website. Each time you use the Website, please check these Terms to ensure you understand the terms that apply at that time. We will use reasonable efforts to notify members of material changes via email or through the Website.
3. Access to the Website
Access to the Website is provided on a temporary basis. We may suspend, withdraw, discontinue, or change all or any part of the Website without notice. We will not be liable to you if, for any reason, the Website is unavailable at any time or for any period.
Certain areas of the Website may only be accessed by current paid supporters or members of the Club. If your membership expires, lapses, or otherwise ends, you will not be able to access those areas. You must not share your login credentials with any third party or allow any other person to access members-only areas using your account. We reserve the right to disable any user account at any time if, in our reasonable opinion, you have failed to comply with these Terms.
You are responsible for making all arrangements necessary to access the Website and for ensuring that all persons who access the Website through your internet connection are aware of and comply with these Terms.
4. Membership and Paid Supporter Subscriptions
Joining and Renewal
Membership and paid supporter subscriptions are offered on an annual basis. Your subscription will automatically renew on each anniversary of your initial payment date at the then-current rate for your subscription level, unless you cancel before the renewal date.
Cancellation and Refunds
You have the right to cancel your subscription within 14 days of the date of purchase or renewal (the "Cooling-Off Period") in accordance with the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013. To cancel within the Cooling-Off Period, please do so from your account on the Website or by contacting us at the address set out in section 18.
If you cancel within the Cooling-Off Period:
- We will provide a full refund of the subscription fee, less any third-party payment processing fees (such as those charged by Stripe), to the original payment method.
- If a physical membership welcome pack has been dispatched, you must return it to us in its original condition. We may deduct from the refund the cost of any items not returned or returned in a damaged condition.
- You will lose access to paid supporter benefits with immediate effect upon cancellation.
If you cancel after the Cooling-Off Period, no refund will be given and you will continue to have access to paid supporter benefits until the end of your current subscription period.
If you are a supplier supporter, your listing will be removed with immediate effect upon cancellation.
Membership Packs
Membership welcome packs will normally be dispatched within 7 working days. Personalised membership badges are produced in bulk and may take up to 90 working days for delivery within the UK. Badges may also be distributed at Club events or meetups where practical.
5. Online Shop
Where you purchase physical goods through the Club's online shop, the following terms apply in addition to these Terms:
- All prices are displayed inclusive of VAT (where applicable). Delivery charges will be clearly shown before you confirm your order.
- A contract for the purchase of goods is formed when we dispatch the goods to you.
- Under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, you have the right to cancel your order within 14 days of receiving the goods, for any reason. To exercise this right, you must notify us in writing and return the goods to us unused and in their original condition. We will refund the purchase price (including the cost of standard delivery) within 14 days of receiving the returned goods, unless the goods have been used or damaged. You are responsible for the cost of returning the goods unless they are faulty or misdescribed.
- Your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 are not affected. Goods must be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose, and as described. If goods are faulty or misdescribed, you may be entitled to a repair, replacement, or refund.
